The Divitt Practice Mute was created after trying dozens of practice mutes. The quietest mutes were too stuffy, and most mutes didn't play well over the entire range of the trumpet.
Works great on Bb, C, and Eb trumpets and cornets.
After over 40 versions in 7 months, the Divitt Practice Mute was born.
Extremely free blowing, easy speaking low register and in tune over the entire range of the trumpet, this mute makes practicing in an apartment enjoyable again!

Divitt Piccolo Trumpet Practice Mute

Hirschman KR Indigo Plunger Mute
The "KR Indigo" MAX Plunger Mute is the culmination of a decades-long quest for the best sounding, BY FAR most in tune, easiest to play, most comfortable to hold, most expressive trumpet plunger that money can buy. "KR" represents the initials of Kenny Rampton, world-renowned trumpet player and long-standing member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra under the direction of Wynton Marsalis. Kenny co-designed this plunger with Hirschman Mutes, incorporating feedback from some of today's top trumpet players. We are proud to include amongst our official endorsers both the Duke Ellington and Count Basie Orchestra trumpet sections.

Hirschman PEP Pixie Mute
The Hirschman Mutes Pro Edge Pixie, a.k.a. "PEP" mute, is named in honor of the great Duke Ellington who often harmonized two plunger/pixie muted trumpets and a trombone into what was called a "pep section" (see "Rockin’ in Rhythm")
The PEP mute plays in tune across the entire trumpet range, is free-blowing, and projects with excellent volume, keeping your chops fresh while making pixie work more musical, enjoyable, and successful than ever before. Most importantly, the PEP mute has THE pixie mute sound...nasally, with a "bite" to the sound...never stuffy, never dull. The PEP mute has a flat bottom and stands upright for quick mute changes when placed on the ground.
