Hetman Lubricants
PISTON VALVE LUBRICANTS:
Hetman® Synthetic Piston Lubricants provide superior wear and corrosion protection for all types of piston valves. Whether your instrument has Monel, stainless steel, or nickel-plated pistons, these long-lasting, non-gumming lubricants will provide for an action that is smooth, quick and consistent. Three nontoxic viscosity grades are available in 60 ml controlled dropper tip bottles:
LINKAGE and BALL JOINT LUBRICANTS:
Linkage and Ball Joint Lubricants: Hetman® Synthetic Linkage and Ball Joint Lubricants are formulated for superior performance and protection of rotary valve linkage components: spherical rod end bearings (e.g. "Minibal" and "Unibal"), linkage joints, cross joints, lever hinges and ball joints. These lubricants combat wear; provide for positive, quiet actions; and prevent corrosion of linkage components. These formulations are nontoxic, and non-damaging to plastic components and rubber bumpers. Packaged in 22 ml precision needle oilers.
Ultra Pure Lubricant
Ultra-Pure Formula 1-3 Tuning Slide Oil is just the perfect weight synthetic oil for your 1st and 3rd tuning slides and triggers (trumpet, cornet, flugelhorn, etc.). This oil allows you to make effortless and fast adjustments to pitch. Apply a drop or two each week to the slides.
La Tromba T2 Valve Oil
T2 - Is a fine light blueish oil, with extremely good lubrication qualities. Suitable for the valves of all brass instruments. Especially for Monel and or Steel piston valves.

What could be more logical than to develop a special care series for this purpose?
For us, the challenge was to ensure the perfect functioning and care of the instruments and at the same time to inspire the musicians with their sensitive feeling for the finest nuances of their instruments.
The right lubricants were needed to develop the oils for the various applications. The first task was to define the appropriate product properties.
We attached particular importance to an odourless product that guaranteed smooth operation and protection against corrosion and wear on the instrument, as well as compatibility between the synthetic oils. JM oils also had to be compatible with conventional petroleum-based products.
The high demands placed on lubricants eventually led to the development of various synthetic products in different viscosities, some even in the form of a gel.
The products developed in cooperation with a laboratory then had to prove themselves in practice. For this purpose, the various care products were extensively tested by us in production and by professional musicians.
Once the lubricants had been defined, a solution had to be found to insert them into the bottlenecks of the instruments without having to disassemble them completely. An oval bottle with appropriate dosing attachments was chosen as the container. A Needle oiler was selected as an option.
